Why PTA?
The purpose of the Highland Park Elementary PTA is to support the education of students by fostering a cooperative relationship between parents, teachers, support staff, school administrators, and the surrounding community.
In addition, we strive to enhance and support the educational experience and develop a close connection between school, home and community by encouraging parental involvement, and improving the environment at Highland Park Elementary through volunteer and financial support.
Your membership provides you with some specific benefits:
Voting Privileges
Committee Memberships
HPE Student Directories
The benefits of membership are primarily for the students of HPE. Membership is one of the foundations of funding that allows our PTA to thrive. Our active and generous membership enables HPE PTA to provide many resources to the students and staff of Highland Park that are outside the scope of the school budget. Join here!
HPE PTA Programming:
School-wide events
Teacher Support Funds
Teacher Appreciation Week
Volunteer coordination
Fundraising with outside programs

And so much more!
If I join do I have to…
Go to meetings?
No, but please consider attending our monthly meetings where we connect with other parents, learn of volunteer opportunities, and vote on important issues such as the yearly budget and officer positions. PTA monthly meetings will be short, productive, and is a great way to learn what the PTA is doing at Highland Park.
Volunteer?
No! Joining the PTA is not the same as volunteering. If you choose to volunteer we would LOVE the help but volunteering is not required for PTA membership.
