What do PTA Fundraisers pay for?

  • PTA supports programming, technology enhancements, classroom support, school events, school and classroom parties, field trip supplements, teacher and staff recognition, school beautification, and much more.

Why are there so many fundraisers?

  • We need fundraisers to fund all the items listed above. We plan fundraisers to offer a fun, community-driven way to generate funds as opposed to simply asking for families to pay for these things. If you’ve prefer to just donate, you can do that as well!

  • Other worthy school fundraisers such as Major Saver Cards and Culver’s Night are NOT PTA fundraisers.

  • The price of admission to other PTA events such as the carnival, skating night, pancake for parents are primarily to cover the cost of the event, not raise money.

Is my donation tax deductible?

  • Yes. Highland Park Elementary PTA is a 501(c)(3).

Are there other ways to contribute besides money?
